Saraswati is the Hindu goddess of speech, knowledge, music and all creative arts. She is called the mother of Vedas and is the repository of Brahma’s creative intelligence. Dressed in white she holds the palm leaf scroll indicating knowledge in one hand while a Veena rests in her beautiful arms. She usually rides a swan but sometimes a peacock. Saraswati is also referred to as the fountainhead of knowledge who leeds seekers from darkness to light and from ignorance to spiritual upliftment. Students in India take her blessings before exams and during various phases of their education. A brass statue of Saraswati is an ideal gift for a student. Also it’s a great decoration piece for homes of creative people or children’s room or schools.
